This is an excellent introduction to Track Design. Point-to-Point Layouts, Continuous Running, Out-and-Back Layouts, Terminal Railroads, Short Line Railroads, Corridor Railroads, Multi-track main lines, Combining Various Designs, Layouts for Odd Shapes, and Layouts on a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood.This really isn't the complete book on the subject but all ideas and plans are welcome in the design of a model railroad.
