The Virginian Railway Heritage Trail's purpose is to recognize surviving structures and facilities in Virginia and West Viriginia and help preserve the history of this coal-hauling railroad. Most of the photographs in this title were taken before the Virginian Railway was merged into the Norfolk & Western.
Included are more contemporary photographs of surviving structures including depots and bridges.
