Follow the travails of the Erie Railroad and the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western as they merge into the Erie Lackawanna in 1960 through the eyes (and camera) of a Lackawanna official.

Since this was basically an 'East End' merger. The territory covered by this book is the east end of the E-L. Also it is organized chronologically beginning in the early 1950s and ending in the mid-1970s before Conrail. The personal anecdotes and opinions of author Canfield make this a delightful story.
