An all-color review of the railroad serving New York City's southernmost borough, from the St. George ferries to the Tottenville-Perth Amboy ferry! Examines both passenger and freight operations, the book features long-gone equipment, stations, and operations.

About 80% of the book is rapid transit. There are images of older equipment before scapping. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad graces a few pages with diesel locomotives and tugboats. The Staten Island's own diesel switchers are painted in the B&O paint scheme with Staten Island lettering.

Some pages have one large image per page, others have 3-4 images. Even pages with 4 images are quite detail revealing.
