The Track Cyclopedia (1985)

This is an industry reference guide for accepted practices and new products, though published more than 30 years ago, it still has useful information regarding the construction and maintenance of railroad track and right-of-way. The book includes advertisements by equipment and service providers.

Designed for the reader to obtain a comprehensive background of accepted practices of railroad track. The book covers design, construction, maintenance and inspection of railroad track in North America. The information has been arranged to facilitate the reader's search for specific material. The 37 chapters are organized into cohesive, inter-related sections. Cross-references in text are made from other chapters where appropriate.
