PRODUCT DETAILS

The Southern Pacific Trackside at Transition is a personal pictorial of the face of railroading during the transition years of one of the West's great railroads. As a youngster, the author, in the company of his mother, traveled the system in search of photographic locations and interesting power. The author includes in this look at his lifetime of photography several other railroad companies and short line railroads that he covered during his travels.

This 320 page landscape book contains 224 B&W and 145 color photographs most of which have never been published. Through his photography, the author gives you a glimpse of railroading in the west. It is library bound with a dust jacket, bibliography and index, with a cover painting done by John Winfield.
